Excuse me, Chaya, it was not acceptable 30 years ago to let the knees show. I know. They would have sent me home from school. We didn't wear uniforms, but we (females over he age of seven) had to cover our knees as per our Jewish studies. Where was it again that you are saying it was acceptable?
